Spay/neuter: CFF provides spay/neuter services to help keep homeless feline numbers down.
Established in 2000, Caring Fields Felines (CFF) is a privately funded, 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. We receive no funding from federal, state or county governments. The vital services we offer to the community are made possible by the generosity of our supporters. CFF is governed by a board of directors, a small dedicated staff, and many volunteers. Two staff members and a team of dedicated volunteers assist in everything from feeding and socializing the cats, to keeping the facilities clean, comfortable and safe 365 days a year.
CFF is a no-kill feline rescue and adoption organization located on 5 acres of wooded property in Palm City, Florida. Our cats live in secured, free-roaming campgrounds complete with cottages that they can enter at any time. There are plenty of places to climb and explore, soft spots to nap in the Florida sunshine and safe places to protect them from the elements.
Every cat under the care of CFF is vaccinated and spayed or neutered, making many of them available for adoption. CFF has facilitated an average of 200 cat adoptions each year, creating a happier world, not only for the cats, but also for those who adopt them.
CFF's mission is to reduce the overpopulation of unwanted felines through spay and neuter, adoption and education. Projects include:
A weekly spay/neuter clinic in cooperation with Savanna Animal Hospital in Jensen Beach
Community outreach for the spay/neuter of owned and free-roaming cats
An adoption program for kittens and cats at the sanctuary
An adoption program in cooperation with PetSmart in Jensen Beach
A foster program to socialize and ready cats for adoption
Outreach to local schools, scout troops and civic organizations, for the purpose of educating others about responsible pet ownership and CFF’s role in the community
All donations to CFF are tax-deductible and go directly to support the running of our sanctuary, our programs, and the care of close to 150 cats. All cats that come to CFF will either live out their lives at our sanctuary or be adopted into permanent, loving homes.
CFF is also one of the only organizations in the State of Florida that cares for cats with feline leukemia and FIV (Feline Immune Virus). These special needs cats live in a special enclosure at the sanctuary where they can live happy, productive lives in spite of their diagnosis. Medical care is provided as needed, though most of the cats are completely asymptomatic and are among the most friendly and personable at the sanctuary. Many are available for adoption to those committed to maintaining a one cat home and provide for their medical care.
CFF gratefully welcomes donations. If your life has been touched by the love of a special cat friend, please DONATE or VOLUNTEER. We accept supply donations as well. Visit our DONATE for more information.
Together, we can create a better world for our feline friends.
